Vadilal Ice Creams is India’s second-largest ice cream brand. From a humble beginning with a small Vadilal Soda Fountain outlet in Ahmedabad opened in 1926, to a turnover of more than ₹600 crore per annum, Vadilal Ice Creams has crossed several milestones of success in just a few decades. Vadilal Ice Creams has the widest product offerings suited for all tastes, preference, pockets & occasions. Vadilal offers a wide range of Ice Creams, Super Premium Ice Creams, and Frozen Desserts. ‘Freeze the Moment’ was a contest launched by Vadilal Ice Creams which focused on consumers’ nostalgic experiences with their favourite ice-cream brand.

The Challenge

The major challenge was into communication of the contest and to increase the participation.  Participants couldn’t understand the rules and processes for making an entry to this contest.

Due to which very few entries were received in the initial days.

Strategy

First of all, the full campaign was redesigned to make the message clear. It was one of their most unique consumer-outreach initiatives, which would enable them to create and maintain a direct and personal connection with the customers.

The final campaign designed was to write a story or record a video about your nostalgic moments with Vadilal ice-creams and send it along with your picture. The landing page was created and google analytics was setup to check the actual number of entries.
